For me, P90X was a great investment. I am healthier than ever, looking good for summer and loving the mountains of energy that come with working out. I am working hard in round two with a goal of dropping my body fat down to around 7-8%. I am adding in lots of cardio for the last two phases and really pushing to get a well defined abdominal section before summer is over. After that…. I am going to keep going. P90X, Insanity, One on One with Tony Horton. I have found a fitness solution that workings for me: Beachbody. Again, I am not a coach and can’t even make a profit from saying that, but I really do feel like P90X has changed my life for the better.
Here is the honest review if you are thinking about starting P90X…. If you bust your butt with any workout for 1.5 hours a day, you are going to see results. P90X works, because it makes you work really, really hard. The magic of P90X is that it gives you a plan to follow. It is hard physically, but mentally, you will know exactly what to do in order to get results.
You will be getting much better results than going to a gym, because you don’t work hard for 1.5 hours straight at a gym. You wait in line for equiptment, socialize, grab a smoothy, WASTE TIME. Not with P90X… There is no time wasting with P90X. Breaks are 30 seconds, to a minute, and you only get about four per hour.
The hardest part of the program is changing your diet and dropping all of that sweet stuff that you have grown to love. No more soda (not even diet), forget about desert… You will be eating LOTS and LOTS of proteins. Lunch meat, chicken, fish, a little steak. You will not be eating anything deep fried, and forget about cheeseburgers or fast food. Without a clean, high-protein, healthy diet, you will not see results.
With that being said, if you think you have wait it takes to push yourself hard for 1.5 hours a day, and are willing to give up all of those sweet and fatty foods (I am give up, as in consume NONE), than P90X is for you. If you work hard and stick to the diet, you will be in the best shape of your life, and it feels really good. Trust me.
