Round Two – Day 57: Back to back… and chest

Round Two – Day 57: Chest and Back, ARX Doubles

That was a really good workout! It felt great to get back to resistance workouts. ARX was a challenge after a week without ab exercises. I started a new creatine cycle today and drank a weight gainer shake after the workout. I have decided that I am going to try to bulk up during this next phase. It was a hard decision to make because I am FINALLY starting to see good ab definition. Hopefully I will be able to control body fat my added running. The weight gainer that I am taking is pretty good nutritionally. It shouldn’t put on too much fat, but 3,000 additional calories per day is a lot!

Tip of the day: Getting the body you want takes a lot of patience and knowledge. P90X is a great start, but if you want the results that they show on the infomercials (the 1%’ers), you need to learn about bulking and cutting. It is a little misleading to say that those folks got there in 90 days. I don’t believe it…

  1. What weight gainer are you using? My brother is looking into bulking up a bit, he is very lean and wants to add some mass.

    • Hi Geek Girl,

I am 100% sold on Optimum Nutrition products. I use their 100% Whey Protein, their Creatine, and now their Pro Complex Gainer. All of their products are superior in nutrition. I have compared them to nearly everything on the market. They are clean and do the job.

The reason I chose Pro Complex Gainer, is because it is relatively low in sugar compared to other gainers and provides complex carbs, rather the simple carbs found in most gainers. Each serving is 60g protein, 60g of carbs, and 650 calories! I will be taking 3-4 servings a day to add 2600 calories onto my normal eating plan. I will also be carefully watching my body fat to make sure what I gain is muscle and not fat. If I start to see fat increase, I will kick up the cardio.

We’ll see how it goes, but I am convinced that Pro Complex Gainer is the best choice. A little expensive, but you pay for quality.
