Round Two – Day 41: Early Start to the Weekend Workout

Round Two – Day 41: Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X Doubles, 30 minute run

I woke up around 9:00 a.m. to prepare for an interview at 11:00 a.m.. I am being highlighted as a featured instructor for the tech classes that I am teaching this fall. It was a brief interview for a PR article. When that was done, I jumped straight into my workouts. Started with ARX, moved to Legs and Back, did ARX one last time, then started on my run. I pushed myself a little harder today and ran for 1:15, then walked for 45 seconds. Repeat for 30 minutes. I plan to do this run for the next week before moving to 1:30 on, and 30 seconds off.

Tip of the day: If you decide to start running using the intervals method to ease into it, here is the schedule that I plan to use. It is pretty ambitious, but you ca adjust it to meet your needs. Hope you find it useful:

Week One – Three Days Per Week – 15 sets total
Walk 60 sec
Run 60 sec

Week Two – Three Days Per Week – 15 sets total (I am here)
Walk 45 sec
Run 75 sec

Week Three – Three Days Per Week – 15 sets total
Walk 30 sec
Run 90 sec

Week Four – Three Days Per Week – 15 sets total
Walk 15 sec
Run 105 sec

Week Five – Three Days Per Week – 15 sets total
Walk 0 sec
Run 120 sec
