Round Two – Day 34: Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X Triples! (ARX 3 times)
My legs are still giving me problems from running. I feel muscle soreness and my knees are not feeling too hot. I was a little worried about the workout today, and knew that I was headed towards injury if I didn’t give my legs a rest. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t press play…
I did a round of Ab Ripper X before the main workout, then replaced all of the leg exercises with ab ripper exercises. This strategy turned out to be great, because I was able to give my legs a good stretch in the beginning of the workout, got in all of my back exercises for the day, and fit two full rounds of ab ripper X into the time that it took them to do leg exercises. I was half tempted to skip the workout all together, but I am glad that I didn’t.
Tip of the day: Work around soreness and injuries. If certain muscle groups aren’t up to the take at hand, double up your efforts on other muscle groups while they heal. You will burn calories, make gains, and feel a sense of accomplishment.
