Day 73 to 77: Making up lost time with P90X EXTREME muscle confusion

Hi Everyone,

As mentioned in a previous posting, I had a family member pass on Tuesday. Due to all of the arrangements, funeral, and spending time with my family, P90X has not been my priority. I apologize to those of you who read everyday. After missing three work outs, I was debating as to what I should do. Should I tack a week onto the 90 days and call it even? Should I double up my workouts this week?  So here is my decision…..

Since P90X is an extreme program, I need to live up to my commitment and finish this thing on time. So starting tonight, I am going to use this final resistance week to knock out all of my missed workouts, and then add some in!

Monday Night: Chest, Shoulders and Triceps, Ab Ripper X (ARX twice)
Tuesday Morning: Yoga X
Tuesday Night: Plyometrics
Wednesday Morning: Kenpo X
Wednesday Night: Back and Biceps, Ab Ripper X (ARX twice)
Thursday Morning: Yoga X
Thursday Night: Shoulders and Arms
Friday Morning: Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X ( ARX twice)
Saturday: Kenpo X and Stretch X
Sunday: Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X ( ARX twice)

If I survive, I will be completely caught up on my workouts and ahead of the game in Ab Ripper X and Kenpo X. I need your support this week. It is going to be a little crazy, but I am ready to bring it and see some results!

Look for new pictures/postings twice a day. Here we go!

Tip of the week: Life is full of situations that are out of your control. When they happen, take care of your responsibilities both during and after the incident happens. Don’t make excuses not to keep on going. Pull yourself up, dust yourself off, and put in every last bit of effort that you have into accomplishing your goals. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest.

  1. Wow, that’s quite a hardcore workout schedule you got there! I’m amazed with your determination. Don’t stress out too much if you can’t keep up with it. You can always extend the workout beyond 90 days. 🙂

      I know it is quite a lofty goal, but I hope I can pull through the week. i am looking forward to pushing myself past my comfort zone. These are the final two weeks of my P90X journey after all!

  2. That is one crazy schedule! It’s like doing P90X Doubles on steroids!

    The only issue I see is that you should not be doing resistance on Thursday. The Shoulders and Arms workout should be dropped. Your body needs the day of rest to rebuild the muscles.

    If you do resistance two days in a row they need to be completely separate muscle groups, but the P90x workouts work multiple muscle groups which is why there is always a day of rest between resistance workouts.

    You will end up doing more harm than good, let your muscles rest.

    You can add the cardio and burn those extra calories, just make sure you eat a little bit more this week to feed your extra workouts.

      I was debating on the Thursday resistance. Maybe I will switch that out for an hour of interval training. I need some more cardio to melt away some body fat.
