Day 68: Running Around Like Crazy!

Day 68: Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X

Workout complete! I got straight out of bed and hit the gym. I was partially surprised that I made it through both workouts without collapsing. I didn’t eat breakfast until afterwards. Kenpo X did not happen today. I will fit it in tomorrow, or do it Monday morning if worst comes to worst.

Today is crazy! I have to prepare for my interview that s in two hours. Then come home, change, and run to my motorcycle safety class. Wish me luck.

Tip of the day: Don’t work out on an empty stomach. I didn’t feel like I had 110% to put into the workout today. Partly because I had just crawled out of bed, and partly because I didn’t have the fuel. I wish I had gotten up 90 minutes earlier to eat some breakfast.

  1. All these times I’ve been always working out in empty stomach, given I have to get up at 4:30 am everyday. 😛 Maybe it’s bad, but after a while I guess my body got used to do it. I just made sure I had enough food the night before if I am going to do cardio the next day, and had a bit of protein drink before the resistance workout. It’s tough.

      Personally, I don’t feel like I have the energy to go 110% if I workout before eating. It might be different for you, so do what feels right. For me it is just a matter of fuel.

      The other factor that you need to watch, is cramping. If you work out in the morning and don’t have time to wait an hour between eating and exercise, try a protein shake 30 minutes before workout. It might help give you some fuel and will digest quickly.
