Day 40: Legs and Back with Ab Ripper X

Today was a great workout. I put 110% into every move, used 30 lb. weights, and made sure to do at least 15 pull ups in every set. It felt good to look back on my past workouts and see that I blew those numbers out of the water today. Ab Ripper X was good too. I made sure to push for form until I felt the burn.

Diet was good today. I ate LOTS of chicken. I wish that I had time to cook something more creative, but that isn’t going to happen with school. I have my mid-term exam tomorrow and am all signed up for my next class: economics. Not my favorite.

Tip of the day: If you aren’t feeling the burn in Ab Ripper X, you are doing it wrong!. This may sound crazy, but Ab Ripper X gets easy after a while. You really have to put extra effort into your form to guarantee results. Get your chest and arms up; don’t forget to flex.

  1. I agree with you! After a while Abs is getting too easy..that happens to me! Before I started this P90X Lean Routine, I was on and off doing come of P90X workout and ARX was one of it! I usually did it with bare feet. But now I put on my running shoes and felt the difference! I also mixed up the sequence so my ab muscle won’t “expect” the same moves one after another.

      That is a good idea! When I first started P90X, I remember barely being able to do in and outs. I took my shoes off to make things easier and just made it a routine. I bet that adding a weighted band around the ankles would REALLY increase the intensity level. I am no where near that level, but you have a great idea going! I will try keeping my shoes on Monday.

  2. Life sucks and I don’t want to work out at all. This whole week was too much for me to take. But it’s good to see you’re doing great. You’re so busy but still manage to keep up the good work. You could be my role model.

      I am to sorry to hear that you are going through a rough patch, but it is good to hear from you. Hang in there, whatever is going on right now will pass. Life happens and things come up. Don’t take on extra stress if you miss a workout. P90X isn’t really about 90 days anyways. It is about being healthy for the long run.
